fifty oratorios and is also an acclaimed recitalist, having had the honour of a number of Royal performances. Major film soundtracks, live broadcasts, solo recordings and lead film roles complete his catalogue.
Jon is highly in demand as a music educator; lecturing in singing at the University of Chichester, as acting Director of Music at the renowned Prebendal School and through his work with a dozen choirs.
As a conductor and director he has worked on Hansel & Gretel, Il barbiere di Siviglia, Dido & Aeneas and The Fairy Queen.
Destined for a vocal career with success in the Choirboy of the Year competition and his first operatic role Amahl, Jon’s forty subsequent roles, for groups such as Northern Sinfonia and HMO Italy, include Tamino, Ferrando, Eisenstein, Remendado, Nemorino, Aeneas and the major Gilbert & Sullivan works.
Jon entered the GSMD as a talented trumpeter, before focusing on a vocal career after his graduation. Described by Classic FM as ‘one impressive tenor’ with ‘something special in his beautiful voice’, he has performed in many of the
